Re: minecraft on pc
My friend has a pretty nice gaming PC that runs GTA IV on Max and he says that Minecraft still lags for him.

1. You can never be sure if he is lying about GTA IV on max,
2. If minecraft lags for him, he must be lying about the GTA IV Max settings.
Or
Try force updating it, then create a new world and see if that lags. If it does, you could try to install the latest of java. If none of this helps, there are some trust issues going on.

Re: minecraft on pc
He is definitely lying to you. Also, minecraft is CPU intensive, meaning that even if you don't have a graphics card, minecraft should work at about the same speed as with one.JeoWay wrote:This is his Graphics card, http://www.game-debate.com/hardware/ind ... %20EditionZgamerR wrote:JeoWay wrote:My friend has a pretty nice gaming PC that runs GTA IV on Max and he says that Minecraft still lags for him.

He might have a really bad CPU probably and is lying about the GTA IV part.

Re: minecraft on pc
He doesn't have a good CPU. He runs GTA on Max graphics wise (not entity wise) and also is an intel (some old generation type, on desktop)

Maybe you might want to look for speedhacks for minecraft? (like moving around shaders or a commandline.txt etc)

Re: minecraft on pc
now as some of you might or might now know I have a very old PC with no GFX card
im still able to play Minecraft just fine sure all settings are on low or off but yea I can play it
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/156 ... fps-fixed/

Also, you could try and use RAMdisk (free) to run minecraft off it. On my intel pentium laptop, I normally run MC at around 15fps, but when I use ramdisk, I can run it on around 30fps with no problemsfate6 wrote:now as some of you might or might now know I have a very old PC with no GFX card

I'm using a Chromebook Pixel with chrome OS and Debian. So the only thing I like playing on this thing is Happy Wheels. Minecraft isn't supported
