Steam users muliplayer games thread. (L4D1 specifically)

Post by Disturbed0ne » Wed Aug 22, 2012 5:09 pm

I recently purchased Left 4 Dead on Steam and I'm looking for people who also have it on Steam.

Please, no cracked copies/cracked talk in this thread, this is only for official paid for copies through Steam servers.

Post your Steam ID's on here and I'll add you so we can set up some times to play.

My Steam ID = Disturbed0ne®
(Please list your Steam ID's in red so they're easy to find in your post so I can update the first post with them)

I have other multiplayer games as well they are -

Mount and Blade (with all DLC) (Just purchased last night on sale, if you want them they're less than $9US right now, go get them. Haven't played them yet)
Realm of the Mad God (I haven't tried this game yet, it's a "free to play")
Team Fortress 2 (Great game, it's free on Steam, if you don't have it download it now)
Stronghold Kingdoms (I haven't tried this game yet, it's a "free to play")
Zombie Panic Source (Killing zombies is always fun)
(List any other multiplayer games that you have as well for other members to set up play times)

Mount and Blade
Don't have it.
Realm of the Mad God
Fun little thing, also available at realmofthemadgod.com. I've played it some.
Team Fortress 2
Played it once before, but due to the insane mouse sensitivity on the computer I played it on, wasn't much good. If they port it to Linux, I'll give it a try again.
Stronghold Kingdoms
Imho an insult to all Stronghold games. Can easily be a browser-based MMO instead. (Note: I quite enjoyed Stronghold 2, haven't played the rest.)
Zombie Panic Source
Don't have it.

Apart from that, I tried playing the DotA Beta but it turned out I like LoL more. Another game on Steam I have is STO. (Don't be fooled by the video.)

Games I can recommend:
Analogue: A Hate Story: A visual novel with a very interesting story. The soundtrack to it is something I regularly listen to as well. (Note: the composer's website sells it cheaper than Steam. ;))
Vessel: I only played the demo, and it seemed like an interesting platformer.
GalCiv, or Galactic Civilizations. Just noticed it's on Steam.

Games that I in no way recommend:
Age of Empires Online: The good old AoE that you spent countless hours on turned f2p with a great multiplayer? Almost there. If of course M$ wouldn't be so dumb to require a ton of registrations that in the end don't work. *never got it to work*

Games I'd want to try out, so any opinions on them are welcome
Endless Space

That's all I can think of for now.

I have L4D2 but my laptop GPU isn't strong enough to run it without major lag/crashing, I also have all the DLC for Mount and Blade (Warband with Napoleonic wars and With Fire and Sword).
(I specified that right in my first post. )

@Xian, You should really give TF2 another try, they just released a really cool co-op feature (Man Vs. Machine) that's a lot of fun (Little tip, you can adjust the mouse sensitivity in the advanced options).

I'd also love to try STO but my GPU just isn't strong enough, I should have a new very powerful laptop by the end of the year though. *Crosses his fingers on the house sale going smooth*
