This looks promising.
Some questions:
- Is the ingame chat accessible outside the game. I mean, can I log on IRC/Jabber/whatever and still access the ingame chat? From all the MMOs I've played so far, I've found that at one point once I reach level/gear cap, the only thing left in it is chatting with people until something more interesting comes up (eg. a raid), or while I have something else to do (eg. banning spambots on /talk or having dinner or something).
- Is there a specific timetable as to when an open beta will occur? Just noticed beta is going to be in 2 months. Is it also going to be limited to only the people who have applied, or to anyone that wishes to do so? Also, the test version posted gives a 404 error.
- Is there any gameplay footage video you can show so far?
- I'm interested to see what options are configurable. Screenshots of your options menu are welcome.
- Is there going to be any modding/addon support?
- Are there any details regarding system requirements? What platforms will be supported?
- Is this game going to include some (****) anti-cheat system that crashes half my operating system?
- As far as the game documents are concerned, is there any English translation for them? I don't speak French. >.>
- And lastly, what is the business model you're going to use for your game? Is it going to be f2p with p2w microtransactions, or paid GW/WoW-style, or are you going to rely on donations?

The game will run into a java applet (I'll enter more in details in your system requirements' question) so the ingame chat isn't accessible outside this box. So that implies that you will be able to log on IRC,SKYPE or whatever. I'll probably put some sounds when something interesting comes up to notice the player.

Not yet, we are now working on Jiun for 3 monthes and we don't want to reveal to much thing because it wouldn't reflect the aspect of the coming public release.

Sorry but it is quite the same point than your previous question. Currently there isn't a lot of options which are configurable.
I can tell you that GM's commands work properly.
- Is there going to be any modding/addon support?
Not yet but it's planned at long term. You will be able to build custom GUI and script with some lua scripting and tools.
A skin/texture modding tool will be probably also available.
- Are there any details regarding system requirements? What platforms will be supported?
Have you ever played Minecraft in browser? For Jiun it is the same deal. You play in your browser. It implies you need Java.
As concern platforms, there are natives libs. for Linux, Macosx, Solaris and Windows so it shoud work on all theses platforms.
To make Jiun run, system requirements are the following :
Proc : Monocore 1.6Ghz would be ok (around 40-55 fps depending the video card)
Ram : 512MB
Video Card : whatever more than 256 MB
Keyboard + Mouse and Internet (You'll be maybe able to play in 2G from you mobile phone, depending the bandwidth the game uses)

Nope on client-side. But there will be anti-cheat systems implemented server side. So you don't have to care about it , it is invisible for end users.

So currently, there isn't any english word while playing...
I will probably do some efforts about translation. (A polish version will be also available, so if you speak polish, it's good for you!)

Our business plan rely on f2p management with microtransactions. You will be able to buy/sell some online items (such as in Diablo 3) using a intermediary money with others players.
You'll be also able to suscribe for 1 month (xp*2 and other bonus) for something like 5€.

The open beta will come with a public announcement, if you are very interested you can still fill the form to participate to the private beta (not all the people which fill the form will be selected). Some people will be chosen randomly, some people are relatives of the team, some people contact me to be a beta-tester by mail and lastly some people are selected by their schedule.

This looks really interesting - looking forward to giving it a go. Sadly, my French is incredibly basic, but I should get by just fine. Anyhow, keep up the good work. :mrgreen:
