Allowing VirtualBox Access to Internet Over School Connec...

I use VirtualBox on my Windows 7 PC to run Ubuntu. At home, I have no problem allowing Ubuntu to share my wireless connection with a "Bridged connection" to my wireless modem. But I'm trying to connect over my school's connection and it's not working. Just like it won't allow you to use uTorrent, some instant messengers, etc.

How can I allow it to share on this type of connection?
