We have WeBee-wireless router.
He uses his laptop and I use mine.
So is there any application or way to check how much data is moving to his computer ?
I'm using Windows 7.

If you mean in the router, then yes, but that depends on what router you got. You can't do that on most commercial routers due to lack of storage. Anyway you don't need the router to see what a Wifi client traffic. Do you have a Wifi card in your computer? Internal or USB?Darkrainbow wrote:So is there any application or way to check how much data is moving to his computer ?
Bad OS for what you want to do.Darkrainbow wrote:I'm using Windows 7.
Nope. Most routers have almost no internal storage, and that would require a big amount.Halvhjearne wrote:most routers has a build-in function for logging the flow of data

if youlive in the same house, I bet you share the same router. Anyway, doesn't matter.Darkrainbow wrote:Yeah I mean from the router to his computer.
Usual *** router from ISPs. I bet it weighs less than air. That won't do what you're asking for.Darkrainbow wrote:This is what the router looks like
That sucks because you can't use Wifi from a virtual machine. You'll have to install Linux nativelyDarkrainbow wrote:And I have internal Wifi card.
For what you want to do, BackTrack, no doubt.Darkrainbow wrote:What OS would you suggest m0skit0 ?

Do you not know what a live cd is? they are slow but if all you need it for is a few hours of packet sniffing it will work. also you can use wifi from a virtual machine if you buy a usb wifi adapter(get one that backtrack 5 has an injection mode driver for).m0skit0 wrote:That sucks because you can't use Wifi from a virtual machine. you should be able to sniff packets and do arp poisoning on any router (unless its a switch based network and yours is not) but I recommend you smash that router and get one with an 8mb flash and 32mb ram that runs dd-wrtSo, because the router is a pile of ****, I can't check the traffic?
