was wondering if anyone owns one of the archos internet tablets? Im considering a 43 or 32 and was wondering about build quality, value for the money, etc, etc. replies appreciated!

Thanks for posting, my plan is to stick it out 'till January to see if samsung EVER releases the galaxy s wifi and if not, I'll go with archos IF I can get some more info on quality (archos isn't exactly well known for quality). I hope samsung realizes they are about to loose another potential buyer, I'm sure they've lost hundreds already!

Google " samsung galaxy s wifi 4.0", youll see a wifi ONLY device like ipod touch only better in every way! @ moskito, I agree that tablets are **** but what archos calls "tablets" are realy 4.3 inch or smaller android pmps.

So get this, just saw samsung anounced a samsung galaxy s wifi 3.6 and they still havn't got the 4.0 and 5.0 to the united states! On the bright side, sony had a concept android walkman! maybe I'll get that since samsung seems totally against releasing anything in the US.

The walkman plan took an U-turn and landed up creating a copy of Xperia X8 with walkman app named as W8!

I believed that until I saw my wife using one I brought from work for her to test.
It feels as if tablets were invented for the way she uses computers: a bit of browsing,a bit of youtube, some casual gaming, possibility to easily move it from your desk to the couch, touch interface, no cables, and, especially: insane battery duration (compared to a laptop), noise-free, and it turns on immediately (which is a major point for her, the reason she never uses her computer is that it takes several minutes to boot).

Tablets have many limitations but they are also way better than any computer in many aspects, depending on people's usage of computers.

^this is why i like tablets!Plus i'm a big fan of Android...never used iPad though...
