Mine looks a lot like this one, but is called the Desire HD. Do HTC change the names of their phones depending on the country?

If you need US PSN Codes, this technique is what I recommend.

yeah they do that a lot
for example...
in usa theres a g1...but outside of the usa its called the htc dream
i have both...only difference is g1 says "with google" on the back
and the dream has "rogers" (it was a canadian phone)
i actually installed a tmobile radio on my dream because i wanted it to say g1 not rogers on boot
but my dream broke (as i said earlier here i think)
so i bought a new one...a g1 and its same thing
oh the buttons are a different shape too...

and also the mytouch3g(usa) is called htc magic in other countries

edit: MY dream was "rogers"...im assuming thats not the only carrier that has it
dont think i assumed that
Sig shrink!
PSP 2000 6.60 ME-1.8

PC - Windows 7 - P4 3.20ghz HT - 3 gb 756 mb RAM - ATI Radeon x600
Cardboard box server - Ubuntu Server :D - AMD Athlon XP 3000+ - 512mb RAM

Why do they do that? Wouldn't be easier to name them all one thing?

Desire HD and Inspire are not exactly the same. IIRC Desire HD has not 4G capability.

Marketing. Don't forget that for a company, the unique and solely aim is of course selling as much as possible. For this, everything is studied into detail. They choose the name more appropriate to culture/people living there. Also I give an example: there is a Mazda Laputa, but you cannot let this brand name when selling in spanish-speaking countries, because Laputa means litteraly "the ****".

Laputa would sound weird here as well. Not to mention Toshiba and especially Maybach.

The best thing about this signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything worthwhile it's too late to stop reading it.
