Ive noticed that AT&T has a form on their web site and t-mobile has a customer service line you can call to have your iphone factory unlocked if you meet the requirements. My question is does the carrier charge you to use this method, if so how much? And what is the turn around rate the time I call or fill out the form to the time the request is fulfilled or denied?

I believe it is free, It was the last time I checked, you just needed your contract to have ended.There are always people on twitter who do it for around $7 though

Oh ok cool. I checked and the service is offered on eBay for 100$.
I also have a friend who works at a cellular unlock shop and they charge 75$.
But any ways currently I have 5 friends who are with AT&T and if I sell each factory unlock for 50$ that's a potential of 1,250$ per year with my take being 625$ with no effort at all.

It I actually 5 unlock per year for active members and 5 total for previous members. So your contract can be active.
