pantech p9060 To root or not to root

hi in a couple of weeks i will get the pantech pocket p9060 and i want toknow if i can safely do a root on this Android phone
here are the specs

i had never rooted a phone and it loos to be just like the CFW in a psp but i'm new i the rooting
any tips?

Well I had been away from the forum because I don't have internet but now I'm on my phone (pantech pocket p9060) and I want top know if I can change roms (i haven't rooted mi phone) and I have speed problems sometimes it charges the menu slowly and the home desk even slower

well after 3 month of use i decided to root my phone its actually super easy + i do a partition of the sd car 4gb +ext2 2gb+ linux swap 2gb
