How to root a LG Optimus V?

I have been trying to find a way to root my phone for a while, and all i keep stumbling on is a program called "ginger break" every version i have tried has a virus. is there an easier way to root?

Thats a "go-to" site so if it still says virus then its a false positive

Actually, there are lots of apps that can help us easily root a Android phone, inculding LG Optimus V. Maybe you can search such app and have a try.
