Just got a SIII...

Got a Galaxy SIII and I've been loving it, added a 7000 mah battery from zero lemon for $33 and have no worries of ever running out of battery life even if I tried to stay on it all day long. Transferred several movies and shows over to the SD card and put a few phone games on... a few of the more serious games actually look good, but I didn't see buying a PS3 controller to sync to it to actually play them (touch controls for serious gaming doesn't work for me).

Picked my Vita up form the shelf today to play a bit while my wife watched some show of hers and on a while pulled the phone out to compare size. Screen size is nearly identical (.2" difference). Remembered the Vita has a relatively low resolution so I decided to google spec differences... virtually none. The phone has a slightly better CPU, the Vita has a slightly better graphics card.

There are few games for the Vita I actually like as an RPGer. I have Vita Persona and Disgaea, but the 2 8gig Vita cards i have are filled with PS1 and PSP games (Thanks to TN and Uno).

With 96gigs available on my phone without swapping cards (32gig built in plus a 64gig card) and PS1 and PSP emulators available for android, not to mention 4g net, higher screen resolution, and easily available crazy battery life... it seems that my phone is actually a better gaming platform than my Vita. That's terribly, terribly sad.

It seems that until Vita has some more RPG action from this generation it's going to stay shelved...

I still dont see why this is in the Vita section tbh

But yeah Galaxy S3's are quite good, they're great for watchin movies on and browsing the net and maybe just maybe for playing a game now and again

nice buy ....... i myself recently bought the s3 mini cause i like the compact look :3 but more cause it´s actually my fist smart phone and didnt want to get something way to *complicating* (was thinking the actual s3 or lg9 but stuck with the s3 mini)

ive had a s3 since xmas and its very nice indeed ... coming from a s2 and before that a nokia 5800 ... and yes being a vita owner it kinda makes you wish you could make some sort of frankenstein with the two... either way i prefer actual gaming (other than angry birds or sonic ep1-2 ) on the vita better ... just seems more fitting ... but everything else on the s3 is so much faster but i guess thats why its not being marketed as a gaming device ... either way grats on the new device and heres hoping for a happy future for the vita as well :)

did you root/hack your s3 if you did i know a way to get psn onto your phone

There is a way to get PSN on your phone, and if by chance you have a WIi you can use that controller, or even a ps3 controller(lot harder to do) to play games that support it on your phone,

But yea to get PSN on your phone and bluetooth the wii more would be great gaming,
