Android took over portable gaming ?

Now I never make topics on here because I am the guy who usually likes to keep it to himself but since early 2011 I noticed how android took over portable gaming.
What I mean by took over is that number of communities compared to PSP was much bigger and games like quake 3 were much better ports keeping it in mind that PSP specs aren't great compared to smartphones. I started out with Samsung Galaxy SII as my first android phone (I was a die hard Nokia fan) I tried out PS1 emulation and used it with PS3 controller and I could no longer play PS1 games on PSP as it felt uncomfortable I was also surprised how roms change the way phone feels and how much freedom Android offers, iOS never became a friendly open source community and customization for it was still very limited compared to Android. I could not handle myself not to buy Vita seeing how it had a promising start but after that I saw myself grabbing my S2 if I wanted to play something quick. I found myself connecting my S2 to TV and playing Grand Theft Auto 3 with Xbox 360 controller. Games on Android becoming more and more advanced every year, we wished 5 years ago to see GTA 3 and Vice City right in our pockets. I sold all my psps because they don't hold the interest for too long the limitation of device what always brings down the community while with Android that is not the problem. So what do you think about Android and Portable gaming ?
