they sell the dang gamepad for 250 bucks
i'll stick to my vita
I really can't stand gnome3/Unity for a desktop, hince my LXDE preference. However might be nice with a touch based device.hgoel0974 wrote:[Drools with the mere thought of GNOME3 on the Vita]Theredbaron wrote:That is one of the biggest reason I got a vita. I really look forward to a kernel hack, as I believe that that will make it the best portable. It would be AWESOME to be able to boot up an LXDE debian on vita. I got a vita now, before a "hack", as I know it is often best to have an early one.PCMGR wrote: Speaking of ARM...Vita has a quad core ARM,hmmm, wonder what it could pull off if it ever got Linux support.
Metro with the Aero desktop is quite cool, the thing is, Windows 8 gets damaged too easily (and when it does, it is really hard to recover it)Theredbaron wrote:My god, I can't even use Metro. That is a big reason I will never get a WinRT tablet. Just horrid. The first Unity release was better.
If I had a x86 tablet, I would have WinXP of Win7 installed for games. Staying away from 8. 8 makes vista look like XP.

After installing the classic shell menu button,I do not really have ANY use for the MUI.
In fact,I have gained noticeable performance boosts, along with almost-Linux boot times, without having to touch ANY of the original settings/features
Like I said,MUI is purely optional. While yes,it is supposed to be the main feature,I disagree with that. And I do not think that W9 won't be a multi-functional OS similar to 8 (like so many people tend to believe). In fact, there are only 2 ways to go with W9:Either polish up desktop mode (by polish I mean make it closer to classic windows with the start menu and the option to choose wether you will log in MUI or not) or remove the desktop mode altogether, but making MUI more friendly for non-touchscreen devices.Given their approach so far,I'd say the latter is more possible.Theredbaron wrote: I have heard it is supposed to be faster, ect. My real problem with Win8 is simply metro.
