You can see the Samsung Nexus 10 or 11, doesn't matter, but price varies. Or you can get an iPhone 3G or 3GS.

To get a good idea of the kinds of phones you could afford within that price range, I would check out eBay. Use their sorting features to plug in what carrier you're on, features you want, price range, ect and it'll pop out every phone available to you within your budget. Out of contract phones can be expensive, good luck!

Hm, for around that price, I would recommend the Nexus 4. Heck, I'd recommend it for any price range - it's a premium top-of-the-range phone for an amazing price. You can have a look at https://play.google.com/store and click on 'devices'. Unfortunately, stock for it has been scarce, so you might need a bit of luck to be able to order one.

Do you want it big or small? For business or just for fun?
A big phone is Samsung Galaxy Note II or Tab 10.1
For business I'd recommend a BlackBerry ;)

I would recommend the iPhone 5 if a jailbreak was out. But I personally have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and it does everything you need it to do. Android are really powering forward this past year.

There are many phones for the price that you have specified.I would suggest you to visit any site like eBay and you will have many choices. You pick one or two and then if you ask suggestion may be that would be better.Because you have not specified other specifications like camera size,GSm/CDMA....

He said something under $300. I thought of Samsung's Galaxy Ace GT-S5830, but that one has very small internal storage, or an LG Optimus L5, which has about 2GB storage & a price which doesn't exceed the specified one. ;)
