I'm pretty sure these emulators run official games. I've seen reports of games working/not working on their forums. I don't know what format people test those with, but I assumed it was isos.

Yep, they can currently decrypt eboots, savedatas and getting into dlc so they can run commercial games to a degree. Sometimes i feel ashamed that i have to seek documentation in the jpcsp source code because the pspsdk is so outdated

How can a phone run a psp emu if there is not even a n64 one that runs as smoothly as P64 for PC, unless my phone is slow. Does anyone know how it runs on faster or newer phones like the SIII or 4S

Won't run smoothly on such phones. Not even the PS2 emulator runs fine on latest PCs, and PS2 has quite a few more years than PSP.

Optimus 2x (CM9 - Domination) @ 1.0Ghz, The unique emulator that is running slow it's the NDS (but it needs more coding work).

Am I missing something here, I have been running PSP games on Android for ages - must be 2 years now, all the ones I've tried run at full speed, behave faultlessly, and work with a sixaxis via bluetooth - like I said, have I missed something here ?
Sorreeee,
I had missed something - I'm playing PSX games on my phone/tablet - I'm 12 hours into a 14 hour shift - it's getting to me.

Depends on how optimised the code is for the emulator. Bear in mind that the Vita with its quad core cortex a9 can emulate the PSP with no slowdown whatsoever (and hardware/cpu of the vita/psp are completely different)
A cortex a9 quad core running at around 1ghz is around the same as probably a PC with a dual core duo processor.
Sony of course know the inside of both hardware inside out and probably all 4 cores are heavily utilised with optimised asm code.

Its true that newest phones have a powerful processing power, but making an emulator requires a lot more processing power than that,
Ever tried playing a PS2 game emulator for the PC?
some mobile games graphics is already better than PS2 yet my Dual core computer still cannot play it smoothly in the emulator.
