DoomGLES --- Best port of doom I have ever played. Added 3d effects such as pick-ups, monsters and projectiles. Lighting effects have been added along with reflective water. The biggest upgrade in my opinion is the ability to actually look around with vertical movement... dosn't really add depth as the heigth scale auto aim is still present but it may help locate some power-ups and hidden demons when riding down elevators. With superscript 0.3 + all buttons are fully mappable (analog sticks and three of the action buttons are not befor this) but there lies in the only problem... I like the R button to be shoot, but when L analog is mapped for movement and the right for looking, ceartain conjunctions with the R button will exit you to the menu... that can be overcame by not looking up as you are shooting... but you try to do that and see how easy it is.
FFIII --- I actually missed this one on SNES and by the time I tried it on emulators I just didn't give the in battle button combos a chance, trying to remember what "jkl;" was actually mapped to.... I'm glad now. Full 3d remake, multi touch gameplay and enhanced music made this a nice surprise for me after all these years. There is no way to map movement to buttons and you must use on screen touches, but with this style of game I do NOT mind it a bit... actually workd better in my opinion to just point at who you waqnt to attack without cycling between rows of foes.
Major Mayhem by Adult Swim --- This is a gorgeous game for what it is. Simple point to shoot, stop to cover mechanics captivated more of my time than I would have thought. Mabey it is the scoring system that I like so much... combos for shooting chickens are awsome... plus totally free unless you just want to upgrade early.
Sonic 4 --- This game looks as good as the console counterparts, but once again fails to allow button mapping. Thankfully there never has been a great deal of depth in the complexity of the speed demons moves, so again, superscript enabled the touch controls work as well as they should.
Dead Trigger / THE DEAD--- Both games are good in their own right, DT gaining more points for graphics presentation and content but I still like TD for the akiness to NAZI zombies. Both are free but DT will drain you with micro transactions quicker than TD... Again, touch controls, but outside of the emulation area, I'm seeing a trend.
Okay, thats it for me... there are other games I play but these are just a few noteworthy mentions... Now I would like some of your suggestions please :->
