i think that i understood how it works so i would appreciate it if you could accept me as one hbl developer

Hmmm, aren't you the guy who didn't manage to compile something?
Anyways, HBL is an open source project, so you can modify whatever you want as long as you respect the GPL license. If your modifications are that good, you can eventually get the HBL developer status.
But I wouldn't count it.

If you don't know how to use SVN, then you should start with that. And btw, what changes did you made in your revision? Post them here so we can see if they're useful an incorporated to main the repository.
