Anyone working on the Xbox 360?

Post by anc96 » Fri Apr 08, 2011 6:45 pm

Has anyone heard if any developers are trying to get homebrew running on newer Xbox 360 kernels? I have Googled around, but I know some devs themselves lurk around here so they may know something...

Thanks

There doesn't seem to be anyone working on getting homebrew running on the Xbox 360 though, so we may need to start something here...

Well there's homebrew's and emulators for xbox360 but the thing is that it only works if the xbox has a JTAG and not all xbox360 are compatible with the JTAG(Allows to run homebrew's on the xbox), only xbox manufactured before August 2009 can have JTAG and the xbox manufactured after August arent compatible, only you can mod the dvd drive to play back up's, stealth iso's and get free the region of the xbox for DVD's and games.

But if I have some time available I will check for homebrews and stuff and know who is working in the scene

I know what a JTAG is and I'm actually working on one at the moment, but they aren't ideal. I don't consider flashing the DVD drive modding as it is almost always used illegally and doesn't allow us to run homebrew!

not possible since the e-fuse is automatically blown after you update to a dashboard over 7371

you know not everyone uses LT+1.1 for piracy purposes. Some people just want to make legal bacups of the games so that they dont get damaged

no because that cant be done with a blown efuse. Dont say can you replace it because you cant

theres already exploits such as freeboot already out for all dashboards up to 12625

I understood that its not possible, I was only saying that sounds challenging because I know about freeboot, but under my understanding to use freeboot you need to have a JTAG and the only thing you can do on the newest xbox(phat and slim) is only flash the DVD.

What I see that there's a challenge to execute homebrews in newer xbox (phat and slim manufactured after August 2009)
