Why make your own when people have already made heaps of cracks?
Google your Xbox model and firmware (If Xbox has firmwares? :s I don't have a Xbox) Just use common sense.

Unfortunately, to run homebrew on an Xbox 360, it needs to run a dashboard from before Summer 2009 and once you've upgraded there is no going back. Even then you need to solder various wires etc to the motherboard and flash the NAND using an LPT.

Actually and Xbox 360 needs JTAG and a custom dashboard i think. The dashboard is the Xbox's firmware like ofw for PSP's. to run homebrew. And if you want to play backups you only need to reflash the DVD-Rom firmware with LT or LT+, it depends on what type of DVD Drive you have.

Wow, so basically Microsoft managed to make it easier to run pirated games than homebrew? And I thought Sony were bad....
If you need US PSN Codes, this technique is what I recommend.

The best thing about this signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything worthwhile it's too late to stop reading it.

I doubt it was intentional, but yes...all drives apart from those in the Slim models can be flashed to play backups and, allegedly, they can't be detected online. To JTAG an Xbox 360 (bypass Microsoft signature checks) you need an Xbox 360 (Fat) running the kernel 7371 (even then it can be iffy). Once you update it with the update released in Summer 2009 (and all afterwards), the exploit is patched. According to most of my research, it is very unlikely we will ever have homebrew running on newer/updated Xbox 360 consoles.

Everybody knows that modding an Xbox 360 is risky, ( as risky like the 6.20 TN permapatch) also the software is quite annoying to crack and it varies from which brand is the DVD drive.

Pretty much wololo

You can flash new dvd firmware to play backups (most likely illeagal copies) but you can't play homebrew except on jtag.
