NDSi/LL Exploit ideas

Post by nascar » Sun Oct 13, 2013 6:42 pm

I have got this idea to Exploit Dsi (XL) with some ideas of mine and good plans. ;) :!:

IDEAS:

1. Flipnote Studio Exploit
Create a Flipnote and edit it with a Hex Editor attach and or make a binary loader and cause to System to crash... then put HBC dsi installation <.<

2.Dsi Camera Exploit
A exploit Based on ChickenHen but instead of using TIFF format we use .png and edit with Hex editor create binary loader and make system crash and install HBC or diffrent?

3.Music Exploit
Create a .mp3 edit with hex edidtor, create binary loader and make system crash and install HBC etc?

Would these make it possible?

Okay, I don't know anything about dsi hacking, but your ideas basically are: let's hex edit [insert random file format here] and exploit it.
From my experience on the PSP: a crash does not mean an exploit. Most of the crashes are useless, as those exceptions were handled. So, in order to understand whether or not it's useful, you need to have knowledge about how the system works, and a way to analyze it. Then, do you have both?

Flipnote Studio and Dsi Camera files are protected by a checksum or something like that so you can't just edit them you first need a hacked DSi to find out how the checksum is calculated.

For the Dsi Camera pictures they have an extra exif entry that contains the checksum most likely something like something like sha-1. The Dsi Camera will only display them when the checksum is correct (at last the last time I checked)
