Any Good MIPS Tutorials/Books?

Post by NaSty13 » Sat Apr 13, 2013 3:41 pm

Im looking to learn MIPS Assembly so that i can continue to find exploits and actually make use of them.
I currently have an exploit, but i cant do anything with it, without any programming knowledge.

So my question is (to those who know how to create/develop an exploit) could you direct me to some really good tutorials or books?
Also how long does it take to learn this programming knowledge?

The only reason why i bought my PSP was to find exploits and since my first crash/exploit, I haven't even picked up my PSP.
I cant seem to find a decent book/tutorial on MIPS, none of em even tell me anything about 'disasm' which is the very first thing you do after a crash of a game.
I really dont want to have to sell my PSP, coz i know with the right knowledge i can create an exploit for my Vita, which would help the scene when i release it.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, if it is.......kindly move it :D

What kind of an exploit are you aiming at? A user mode or a kernel mode? Note that for a kernel mode exploit you need to know some high level programming as well to be able to understand what you're doing. You also need a whole lot of patience, finding kexploits is like looking for a grain of sand in a haystack! (Yes, even harder than a needle)

For user exploits, it is good to understand basic MIPs but it isn't necessary :)

I'd like to find a usermode exploit first, once its developed and ready to use on my Vita, I'd like to find a kernal exploit but i think thats being a little too ambitious :)

I recommend the basics first boolean algebra, here is a tutorial index by Acid and by the time you finish you will know where to start with MIPS, this will help you learn MIPS like you learn python with no knowledge.
