Slot-1 flash carts are the standard these days....

I used to be into DS modding all those years ago.... I had the original phat model with a SuperPass (slot-1) device and a GBA Movie Player (slot-2) with modified firmware by Chrism.

I later used this combination to install FlashMe on mine and my mates DS lites :mrgreen: My friends weren't into homebrew or piracy at all, they just wanted the health warning deleted :lol:

More recently i've owned a DSi and an AceKard2i and now I have a silver 3DS XL on fimrware 4.5 and a Gateway :P

I'm Sony orientated these days but i still have love for nintendo handehelds.
