I'm just writing simple programs of C. Like a basic Hello World like this:
Code: Select all
#include<stdio.h>
int main(void)
{
      printf("Hello World");
      getch();
}

And this,

i think your .upc is the project file. i use Code::Blocks on my ubuntu build, and it uses a .cbp file which contains information on all the files associated within the folder

No, actually I'm asking about what type of project to choose?

I just checked my first Hello World, and it was Hello World ANSI C project, in fact there isn't any option for UPC in mine! :? Never had any problem with ANSI C though! ;)

Actually I checked both of them, the ANSI C and the UPC and both of them works fine.
I think I should stop thinking about these mysteries and move towards my main goal ;)

You should choose ANSI C almost always (unless you know what you're doing), and MinGW GCC compiler.
