Its a good step, but the mandatory NSA spycam needs to go too.

Wow, this site is 100% PS fanboy, xbox bashers.

You will see posts all day on wololo about the bad stuff MS does .

Then when MS does the right thing then its crickets.

I have owned all game systems so far and I am most impressed with Microsoft which is far from perfect.

yep we are a bunch of fanboys here now if you would excuse im off to play my Xbox or maybe my Xbox 360... what's that? PS3?
sorry I don't have one

oh? how long have I been with with Xbox? since day 1

look I like the Xbox but you cannot seriously be thinking about buying the XBO after all this
BTW MS did not listen to its consumers just think about it

before PS4 MS defended the DRM at all costs even insulting anyone that spoke against it heck even said its such a part of the system thats its not possible to remove

after PS4 MS removes DRM since they saw the huge amounts of money Sony was about to take from them
but wait how can they remove the DRM if its such a important part of the system?

now would you like me to continue about all the nice features that they removed with the DRM? none had to go its still very much doable

Everyone wants to cut out the middle man. I can't blame MS for that. They didn't know how bad it would affect the community or they would not have done it in the first place.

The CEO is not always the smartest man in the building.

PS don't offer what I like .. If I am that paranoid that I am being spied on I better get rid of my cellphone, laptop, and PS vita.. Because they all come with cameras....

I'd actually say I decry both. Bad decisions deserve feedback to make it better. That's how things work.

So have I, and I'm thoroughly unimpressed with their hardware quality.
That said, MS's tech support staff were very courteous and professional with all my troubles. Sony could learn a thing or two from MS on that.

That's what sticky notes are made for. ;)
And besides, my laptop and Vita won't say "I'm sorry, but please uncover the camera so we can continue watching you play" like the XBone will.

very typical fanboy, you present them with facts on why their console is inferior and they start calling you a fanboy without making any valid point, even if you have various consoles from various manufacturers they still call you a fanboy

Advantages of pc gaming :
I can play any game , mod any game, add to or subtract from any game, anything I want/don't want.
I can choose what buttons do what, I can run macros and trainers and my own servers.
I can use any game controller (yes ps3 sixaxis, yes xbox 360, yes any game controller) wireless in any game, and program it to my specs for sensitivity and deadzone, etc, etc, etc.
I can play offline, play online, or run my own server and play LAN parties.
There is no camera, unless I want to hook one up. If I do, I control the camera and nobody else can ever see any part of it unless I explicitly allow it. How nice.
I can upgrade my pc, anytime. I can overclock my pc, anytime. I can turn off and on my pc anytime. I control it, it doesn't tell me what to do, what to buy. How nice.
I don't have to be part of any pay to play service. I do not need a membership. I paid for internet, and that is all I will ever need. No xbox live, no playstation plus, no .
I can share any game or information I have with any other pc user, anywhere, anonymously.
I can use mumble, teamspeak, ventrillo in any game, even ones that don't 'allow' for chat .
There are millions more games available on pc then on both consoles PUT TOGETHER. Want options? get pc.
Pc games are patched more regularly than console games. Want game running smooth? get pc.
I can play any game thats on my home pc from any pc anywhere ! at work, on my phone, on my psps using remote desk technologies. Not on consoles lol not even close.
Console graphics are dumbed down so the game can run on a limited graphics card/processor. If you want the best graphics, get pc.
The price of games drop rapidly on pc, and many sweet games will be 10$ on steam in months, where the consoles will carry a HUGE list price as LONG as they possibly can. Then gamestop will sell used games for 45$ and . WTF.
I update my pc WHEN I WANT TO, IF I WANT TO. I am not required to update to play anything. I don't have to wait for it's update to play a game. Consoles are quite different here, as you all know.
No company has any record of what I do, how much I play, what sites I visit. Nobody is tailoring ads for me based on what it wants to sell me. If so, it can be turned off. How nice.

lets consider the advantage of consoles :
Easy to use, for those people who CAN'T INSTALL PROGRAMS. If you can't install programs, then you probably can't read either - so this would be lost on you.
Very few games come out that are console only. So to play these games you need the console. Some console games are released on the console earlier than on pc. So you may have to wait a sec for them.
These franchise games are console specific, but there are many many MANY more games that are for pc's only, that will never run on any console. Because the console's hardware can't change. Consoles = dead end.
Somebody recently told me that the best part of xbox is seeing all your friends online. They were under the impression that you can't do this for FREE on any pc. opps. (FREEEEEEEEEEEE)

I see microswift is reneging on their tough anti piracy stance, due to so many gamers voicing their opinions. Good, power to the peps.
And to compare xbox to ps3 hardware wise is silly, the xbox is always weaker hardware. Whoever said they like MS products the best, it's because you are oblivious to other products.
If you benchmarked, you'd see that the MS consoles are the weakest of the group, any era.

SO - if you are an unintelligent gamer, you love consoles. If you know your stuff, you have nothing to do with them. If you want big brother watching you daily, get the xbox 1.

Console gaming has ended. The new consoles are just computers, minus all the privileges and options that a regular pc has. The new consoles are not even cutting edge computers, they are weak compared to what pc's had 1 year ago. My pc from 1 year ago is far superior to either new console, I haven't even overclocked anything yet. If you want cutting edge gaming, it's not on a console, never was.
