because sony knows that all that sh*t is nothing but gimmick that will end up being used by two or three games and will make the system cost a lot more, they are smarter than you think

Yeah, the IR on the PSP1k, a bunch of PS3 ports, and that mystery PSV port, they do so much that only people who know what they're doing are going to include them. Oh, and selling PSP Go's/PSVs in countries with no PSN, that is pure genius.

Those are just additional features that make their devices win. Maybe they thought they were going to use the IR port later but they found out it was useless, so they removed it. And the mystery PS Vita port may be used by devs.

Oh, and selling PSP Go's/PSVs in countries with no PSN, that is pure genius.

The PSPgo is an overpriced 16gb flashdrive without PSN, and many PSVita features require a connected PSN account.

2- They can use another region for PSN to play free games/demos.

Not everyone would know that. There are numerous innocent users who honesty use their real address, and are punished for it. Sony sends a poor message, allowing people to choose their country, and telling them "we don't serve your kind here."

3- There are game cards (PS Vita).

Again, PSPgos do not. Plus, DLC and online passes for the Vita are account-region-locked based on the cartridge origin. (I could play my NA Hot Shots Golf on a JP account, but not play online or buy DLC.) Also, importing is expensive for youth, as few places online accept non-credit cards, something youth cannot get. Plus exchange rate/middleman charges can put the actual price upto 200% of normal.

But this means anyone who makes an Indian account (cause Sony allows it) has wasted their time, since it is not supported. And not everywhere sells out-of-region PSN cards, putting one back in the import trap.

From what I saw during my short stay in India, there the PSP 'Street' is the go for device, I didn't see a single Vita there, or any PSN card, they had only started advertising the PSP when the PSV was released! Plus, acc. to Indian measures, 7000 rupees is a heck lot of money (100 USD = 5000 INR), my parents just barely bought me the PSV because they kept on looking at it as 25000 INR (and I looked at it at 400 USD )

Playstation in India is basically a waste of time, I knew a kid who in 2010 played on a GBC and said that it was the latest console out there, either Sony needs to reword their strategy or they should just pull playstation out of India.

Sony support other countries but not nearby countries from the same continent? They probably see India from a less level in the world. Come on Sony, don't think that other ways can't make you follow your dying rival!

I am not kidding FYI there are techniques for that, Sony could still make an accessory for it.
