Retro Games You Would Recommend ?

Hey Guys VHBL is coming to the Vita and it seems like a pretty sweet device to run Emulators on, basically I have owned and started out on the PS1 N64 and Gameboy but never owned any previous gen of consoles so I haven't played any SNES games and so on.
Any one wanna reccomend some to me ? Or perhaps just want to share what Retro game is your personal favourite ?

Chuckie Egg - Dragon/CoCo & ZXSpectrum - simple and addictive
Sonic - Sega - fast and frenetic
Echo the Dolphin - Sega - a good puzzler
Nebulus - Atari ST - fast, frustrating and very addictive
Speedball & Speedball 2 - Atari ST - fast - needs a lot of skill
Marble Madness - Atari ST - Unique
Manic Miner - ZXSpectrum - a must have

Mame- golden axe, tekken 1/2/3 tag, metal slug series
