bypassing hbl exploit on the psp go

Post by jd20dog » Fri Dec 17, 2010 6:27 pm

i have a psp go with 6.31
ive noticed that im able to load HBL by "pause game" during use of an emulator and resume without using the hotshots golf exploit
is this a possible exploit in itself??
i was want to know the HBL teams thoughts on this curiosity

im using gens to load a saga cd game

hopefully ive explained my thoughts properly

also as a side question: is TN still going to release his hen for 6.30/6.31 or has he dropped in preference for 6.35

and as all should do,
i humbly thank you, HBL team and TN for your work on allowing others to use your work to make a great system spectacular

This isn't an exploit, it's by design. The pause game feature on the GO works similarly to save states on an emulator.

so it basically acts as as a ram dump and relaod??
this is my understanding
that the psp go dose not do a license check on paused games when you resume them??passably because it already assumes its passed the check or it wouldn't have gotten far enough to have a paused game in the first place
this seems usable in away, if you could find a way to put a paused game file on the psp go you could use this it seems to laod games that dont have the license file( i mean homebrew )
if im wrong please tell me but it seems plausible it me

by bypassing the hbl exploit i mean not having to load hotshots to git to HBL
i can use resume paused game to load HBL
sorry if i didn't make that clear
im still using HBL
its just a different method to load it
and it seems this loading method could be used for other things that HBL cant load normally

this was my original though that i wanted to express

i only had about 2 min to right my first post and didn't git to proof read it
sorry for any miss understanding
ps: edit tab doesn't show up till after the third post
