Custom Patapon Demo Eboots

Simply extract the eboot with pbp unpacker, you can find it on quickjump, and choose 2 images of your liking. They must be the same size as PIC1.png and ICON1.png From the original eboot. Rename them accordingly and repack the file with your new pic and icon again using pbp unpacker. That's it it's pretty easy, but for adding a splash screen refer to viewtopic.php?f=3&t=77.

How did you guys shrunk the 'soul eater' Custom EBOOT to almost 50 MB instead the size of 100 MB with the original Demo...?

It's based upon cobaltex's eboot in which the psar was hex edited to remove stuff without affecting the loading of the geme. you can't actually play those though, if you try you will just get errors. The can only be used to load hbl.

can you guys help me? i am trying hbl in my psp 5.5 firware.. i have done copying the hbl folder, h.bin file and the savedata file.. but when im copying the patapon 2 demo i cant copy it.. then i check the game it is there but it is prompting something like invalid copyright. did i need to do another step for this.. thanks..

As for your question, its a copyright protection error. However this shouldn't happen with the patapon demo since demos are freely distributable. If you got the demo from psn you might see this error though. Anyway just replace it with any one of the eboots listed on the op of this thread, they don't have any copyright protection, or if you'd rather just use an original unmodified eboot you can re--download it from the link in the hbl faq on Wololo's Blog here. It should work fine as well.

that's the one i downloaded from wololo's link.. i also tried this customized eboots. it is still prompting the same error.
