Custom Patapon Demo Eboots

As a user of a custom eboot myself, and for the sake of convenience, I've reposted links and preview images of the custom eboots from the old forum in a new central topic. All credit of course goes to the original authors.

Custom EBOOT Mini Faq:
Q: Are there any custom eboots for the golf games?
A: No, Patapon 2 is a freely redistributable demo.The golf games are not and cannot be redistributed, nor will they work if modified.
Q: Do the custom Eboots load hbl directly?
A: No, The only things changed are the PIC1 ICON0 images, the snd0 audio clip, and in some cases they add a splash screen that replaces the blank black screen that appears just after the white PSP logo, and some reduce the size of the DATA.psar.
Q: Can this even be done?
A: No,attempting to modify the game in such a way would corrupt it rendering it unplayable, and thus would be pointless.
Q: Do They work on fw. 6.30/6.31?
A: Yes and no, except for the size reduced ones by cobaltex and ozkar1313 which can only be used for hbl. The other eboots can work on new firmware, but only to play patapon 2 since Sony patched the patapon exploit.
Q: How do you create a custom eboot?
A: Extract the eboot with pbp unpacker found here and replace the image and sound files with those of your choice. Then repack the eboot. PIC1 must be 480x272 and ICON0 must be 144x80. for audio specs refer to viewtopic.php?f=3&t=77#p415, and a splash screen tut can be found at viewtopic.php?f=3&t=77

Do these Custom Eboots autofire and load HBL directly
or are the Splash Screens and the movies still there????

You you still have to start the game like before in order to load the save data. The eboots from cobaltex do add a new splash screen, but as I said you still have to load the savedata through the game just like with an unmodded eboot. This is because hbl loads from the modified save data. Since it's a game exploit you still need to load it through the game. In order to launch hbl directly a vsh exploit would be nedded.

But do these eboots remove the splash screens? thats my actual question... i am fine with loading the save data on my own...
i am only tired of waiting for the menu to apprear just for the sake of running a homebrew.....

They don't change anything in respect to the game itself. You'll still have to wait.

I think it will if you will only play the game not the exploit. If youre talking about hbl on 6.31 sorry dude the only way to run it is through everybody golf EU, hot shots golf open tee greatest hits US and minna no golf J. And its all in UMD or downloadable to psn.
