Sony is big enough to do both things at the same time. It's a corporation dude, not a bunch of guys fooling around (although sometimes it seems so).

No, because if you can sign HBL, you need no more new exploits. Signing cannot be fixed by Sony.
xcanox wrote:Even though the HENs are signed now, Sony can still make a Whitelist of official titles(which would be very time-consuming) to patch the firmware with, so exploits are NEEDED.
I don't think there's enough space on the flash for that. What it can do is blacklist HBL and/or HEN for example.

Why ?! Will that need too much space ?!

And ?! Can't we sign them again somehow ?! Or sign a homebrew that runs them ?!
BTW, if Sony makes a whitelist, and wanted to release a new title, that will require a new software update, won't it ?! and that means a new software update for each bunch of titles, am I correct ?!

I don't think this will ever be patched (the signing thing), as long as they didn't patch it in 6.37, they won't patch it in next firmwares, (Please correct me if I'm wrong)

This proves HBL isn't dead at all. :)

@Below: I have to say that the HBL port was written by Some1, we just focussed on the exploit. ;)

Sure, how many PSP titles do you think there are?

Maybe, but look at Datel's AR.

Yes, and another reason for which whitelist is useless.

I hardly think on how they can patch it without breaking compatibility
