Okie doke! Lol that should tell you how long it's been since I have looked into 'hacking' my psp. When I read all that I passed due to not wanting to brick my psp. I love how idevices are so easy to jailbreak! From what you're saying it seems the psp scene has improved greatly! I'll go give that a shot!

(this is very important as installing CIPL on a 3k will fully brick it)

The first one, I got my psp back in '07

(you can install PRO on a 3k BTW just not CIPL)
