I haven't touched this in a long time, but IIRC that's no use. You need to clean the previously loaded homebrew before loading a new one.

Edit: I'd also actually like to start some kind of "vhbl menu contest" with a cash prize, so if somebody (you?) is working on that new API, better sooner than later :)
