I need help with HBL

Post by fuzzbie » Tue Oct 05, 2010 12:44 am

Hi, i'm new to the forums and i'm not sure is this is the right section for this.

I am running my psp 3001 OFW 5.51 (HBL rev 93), and it works fine but i can't get any other version of HBL to load.
Now my question is should i update my psp to a newer OFW like 6.00 and them try a newer version of HBL?

Also sorry if this issue was asked somewhere else.

No, you should never upgrade firmware if you don't need to.

The new versions should work. Make sure you are downloading the Patapon 2 Demo version of HBL, and have the right save game. Make sure to replace both h.bin and the whole /hbl/ folder.(although the menu subfolder doesn't matter as much to replace)

I think in rev 101 we made a mistake with firmware 5.51.
Check this issue, it has a workaround for you to test:

If you need US PSN Codes, this technique is what I recommend.

this is what happens to me when it first came out but thanks to wololo I am able to run it. Just copy the imports.config_550 from the config folder in hbl and save it somewhere easy to find then rename it to imports.config_551 and put it in the hbl config folder and you're good to go.

Wow, you like to do complicated stuff  Why just not copy it again over the same folder and rename it? ;)
