Chinatown wars psp go 6.60 pro C2 could not start

Post by zack0niel » Sun Jul 13, 2014 5:32 am

Im having trouble loading chinatown wars on my psp go 6.60 pro c3, when I try it goes back to the menu and says game could not start. The .cso and .iso run fine on ppsspp.

Some suggestion i tried sony driver/ m33 driver/ change region to Europe/ UMD iso mode to UMD

none of them worked for me, would appreciate the help.

What form are you playing the game in? I see you mentioned .ISO and .CSO in the emulator, but is that how you're playing trying to play it on the actual hardware as well? And if you're using an .ISO or .CSO, is it an UNTOUCHED .ISO or .CSO?
Pre-patched games don't like to play on PRO CFWs, so if it was patched for a lower firmware, that could be your issue.
I also notice that you did not mention your clock speed settings... I dunno if GTACTW has this issue, but I know there are certain games (like Tekken and Kenka Bancho) that like to seize up if your clock speed in-game is not set to default.

Are you using Rahim-US's version of PRO? Because there is no PRO-C3, as far as I know.

thanks for the reply, I tried it both with .iso and .cso, as for the weather its untoched im not sure about that. The .Cso is 290mb and decompressed it is 517mb. I am using the clocks on default mode. I am using the Pro version suggested on wololo for the go. Should I try LME or another Cfw?

EDIT: seems like this not an untouched version, as the original iso is about 861.2mb, what do you suggest?

That would most likely be your issue, then. It's most likely a ripped and pre-patched .ISO, or something similar.
No need to change your CFW, just re-dump your copy of the game to an untouched .ISO and copy that to your memory stick.
Untouched .ISO should be 862 MB.

ok I tried something else, I installed the LME 2 cfw and it gave me a Umd iso mode option "Oe isofs" after using this I was able to run chinatown wars. Could someone explain this mode and if it is possible to have it on 6.60 pro C2 because I dont think chinatown works on the Psp go version of it.

EDIT: NEw issue.. it does not allow me to save since it says insert memory stick, the go has inbuilt mem.any ideas?
