Need some advice for a game

Post by rygold » Wed Jun 25, 2014 6:12 pm

My NFS ProStreet is damaged but still readable. So what I wanted to do is transfer it from the UMD to the memory stick. (FYI I have done this before with another game). But I can't go through the whole process cause of the scratched disk. Anyone have any advice? Just incase here are my specs: PSP-1001 (America) CFW PRO-C2. Any help would be appreciated. :) Sorry if this is not allowed, but I own the game.
edit: added sorry phrase

Wait... so the disk is "damaged but still readable," but you can't read it to make an .ISO of it?
What method are you currently trying? Are you changing your USB Device setting to UMD and plugging it into your PC? Are you trying to use a program on the PSP to dump a copy of the game to the memory stick currently installed?

Explain what you're doing, and maybe there's a solution to your problem.

And yeah, if you are asking about dumping a game you OWN, then this question is perfectly acceptable.

Yes asking how to dump your own games is more than acceptable and we would gladly help but if it's scratched then I am not sure there is much we can do :/

I have tried the USB method and the program method. And by readable I mean it can still detect the disk, but not start the game. BTW, thanks for telling me. :D

There are some disc repair solutions you can apply by hand (since the disc is too small for automated repair kits), but you will probably have to disassemble the UMD's casing. Repairing it or replacing it are your only legal options.
