with iso2eboot you just need the .iso in the same directory as iso2eboot. no dumping required...it dumps everything for you. the only time I had an "empty directory" issue was when my test game "Final Fantasy" had a space before the .iso so it looked like "Final Fantasy .iso" it didn't like that. so be sure there is no space at the end of the name. also, not all games work in the conversion, and if your game is too large it wont work either. it MUST be under 728mb in size.
I'll look into building a special version just for you guys when i have more time. at the moment I have 2 more websites i need to build and i'm *** deep in a LOT of work at the base. (i'm air force and maintain the network and systems on my network as well as all of my servers for my base and a few others). very frustrating stuff. I did this app when i had a little bit of "spare time". but i'll look into adding a little something extra for you guys. if not just implementing the change in the current version.
talk tpu into releasing a newer version of fake_np and i will get that done even sooner.
Dante90 wrote:TonyDansa do you have a idea for leave the limit of 728mb?
It's not possible yet as there are no demos available that are larger than 728mb.

You have checked all the existing demos for psp to say that?
No... We're hiding one from you just to be mean.

I'm curious, what needs to be pulled from the demo in order to upgrade fake np?
hrmmm...I wonder how many junk files are inside of most game rips.
@disturbed one - do you know if any of the iso internals can be compressed or if the psar can be compressed? might be a temp fix.
I'm not really the right person to ask about this. Although I do have a couple of ISO's that were cropped by someone else that were small enough to work with this program. (They were originally well over 1gig and they were edited and compressed down to around 600mbs)
The cutscenes were removed from some of them to do that though. (I find cutscenes to be important if you've never played the game before though. )

ok from what I understand they use the header from a demo to make the signed iso appear as a demo....and the amount of *** files inside a iso varies some have a ton of useless *** that can be removed (with the game still remaining full) and others have few items that can be removed....MOST isos have a BIG file that has everything compiled into it.........as for all of you people who keep asking for a bigger size limit it is not going to happen until sony releases a bigger demo
thanks to TonyDansa for this tool...... I had been doing it the long tedious way until I found this tool
can anyone upload it on megaupload or another : mediafire launch attak against your computer (if you haven't good safeguard, you're dead for example avira or avast). In addition, mediafire add some virus into the files we upload.
Try sendspace : it's good one.
Thanks
Funny stuff

this is not true at all. i, as well as many others, use mediafire for hosting all kinds of files, and ive never had any issues what-so-ever. that is end of this conversation.
