Can not transfer iso/cso files to my go.

Post by redzeoranger » Thu Jul 11, 2013 6:54 pm

Hello guys, I'm having a slight problem with my go. I can not transfer any isos or csos to it. I ripped my games using my 1000 and they all play fine on it off the memory stick. I play the games on my go from the memory stick but no matter what I do I can't transfer it to the internal storage of the go. I'm using CFW 6.60 Pro-C2 on both the 1000 and go. I have the ISO folder in the go's root, with the VIDEO folder in the ISO folder. I can't even transfer isos or cso to the memory stick while it is in the go.

When I attempt to transfer the iso or cso to the go the progress bar on the computer freezes. eventually the go kicks out of usb mode and the computer says "Could not find this item. This is no longer located in I:\ Verify the items location and try again" No matter what I can do I have this problem. USB charging is off, tried different cords, tried both my laptop and desktop as well as every usb port on them. Formatted both the stick and internal storage multiple times. I can transfer other files to the go such as mp3s and the cfw files.

So all in all I'm at a loss. I bought this so I wouldn't have to carry around all my umds but it's looking like that may have to continue. Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

That's weird. o.O
When I lose connection from a bad USB port losing connection, the PSPgo still stays in USB mode, it just needs a slight shift on the computer cable end to reconnect, though I still lose all the progress.

Have you tried recopying the ISOs off your PSP1k MS, to see if they were damaged in the copy to your PC?
Is your PSPgo going into sleep mode during transfer? (I've seen this happen before when moving big files.)

Yeah I have tried recopying them and even reripping them. I've tried the same file both compressed to a cso and uncompressed as an iso same result. It doesn't fall asleep at all. The little white bar under usb mode just disappears and it goes to saying please wait. That's when the popup on the computer comes up. The two games I've been working with are Maverick Hunter X which is under 500MB and God Eater Burst which is over a gig. Same result no matter what I try.

Please wait means its waiting for connection to the PC (or in this case, it lost connection and wants to reconnect.)
If you've tried many USB ports and computers, it could be the Multi-AV port on your PSPgo is loose in some way.
I don't know much about fixing that, but, you could try using a M2->ProDuo->USB adapter, to copy direct to the M2, and once on M2, you could use a copy of PSPFiler (located on the M2) to copy the ISOs to the internal storage.

Do I need to put pspfiler into the ISO file or the GAME file?

It would go in M2:/PSP/GAME/
This is because when run from the M2, PSPFiler can access both Internal and M2 drives.

The Internal Storage has hardware limitation that prevents it from accessing the M2 drive while not on the XMB, so PSPfiler run from Internal would not be able to perform the copying your require.

Dang, I'm trying this on my own PSPfiler, while I can access the Ef0 in the main menu, but it doesn't let me choose move to the Ef0 in the copy menu. >_<
I thought this would work. Sorries.

Heck when I'm going through the filer I only have ms0:/ I do not have ef0:/ I have PSP Filer Ver.6.6 Go.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Jk1L_-9u9I

In this video he has ef0:/ and I followed what he said. Only difference is I'm running a different cfw than him. Could that be the problem here? I really am just confused on all of this, kinda sounds like I'm sol. Maybe my go has a problem with the internal storage? I just can not figure this out.

I was using PSPFiler 6.6 Go as well. While I can browse both drives by using the Start button on the main menu, I was unable to select the EF0 inside the copy file menu.

Edit: Its possible its because The Z uses LME, but I see he also enabled Hacker Mode. That can be risky if not very careful, since it allows writing to important places. That Normal Mode was designed to prevent accidental swapping to flash, it might also be indirectly blocking writes from MS0 to EF0 inside the copy menu.
