This signs UMD backup ISOs? I was wondering if that would work or not...

Regarading backup ISOs, No.
fake_np convert backup ISOs to EBOOT.PBP using some portion of PSN demo.
Same as previous version of openidea iso loader, it has ISO data in it.
from PSP firmware this pbp is recognized as PSN demo, so can boot from OFW :lol:

:( I'm still not getting how to use this.

Could someone (Who's first language is English) post a step by step tutorial?

I'm really interested in this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I've successfully signed a homebrew with Easy PBPPRX Encrypter. This one eludes me though. To many steps I guess. :lol:

I'll check out UMD Tool and UMD Shrink though. Thanks.

Here you go, I knew it wouldn't be long before someone came up with the "bright" idea of using this for warez....

@Mathieulh: I'll take your post and raise you an exasperated sigh.

@tpu: For the sake of the homebrew scene please refrain from supporting ripped isos.

@Mathieulh @andwhyisit:

No offense! But to be fair I would really like to know what you think is the difference between this method and playing clean ISOs on HEN or CFW? For me its just a way to play some backups on OFW.
In the end both Fake_NP and and normal ISO dumps can be used for pirating games. Just a thought.
Security guy of Sony says: "I lost my keys.... some one found my keys?" (as found on Hellcat's twitter)

Just think about it for a second. Once ISOs can be signed, they will most likely be re-uploaded to all the pirate sites signed. If that happens, the average Joe could pirate without any work at all: just download, copy to mem, and run.

Using ISO loaders thru HEN/installing CFW gives SOME (even if it is small) protection against full-blown piracy, as there are always people that think "that sounds hard to do" or "I can't be bothered to do all that" or "What if I break my PSP?". Once ISOs are signed, none of that will matter, ANYONE that has a PSP would be able to pirate without ANY extra work trying to get it to work.
