Need help getting PSX games running on PRO CFW 6.60

What Is the recommended program here to convert our backups to EBOOT?

I use PSX2PSP and have a mind-blowing issue
When I create an EBOOT with best compression (worse load times) it works and loads the game properly

But if I convert the very same backup to EBOOT with NO compression (to help with load times) once I press X to start the game it just hangs there on a black screen loop and I can't even exit with home button. All I can do is restart or put the PSP to sleep

Oops sorry wasn't sure where to put since it's technically not a problem with the game per se
Do you have any idea what could be the issue?

What is wololo using to convert ISOS/IMG to EBOOTS?

I use PSX2PSP v.1.3 (popstation GUI) as it allows you to add all the images for the game, the boot logo, display logo, the icons and even the background images that appear when you highlight the game in your "game" section of your psp (just like a UMD does!)

It also allows you to customise the display name of the game and the savefile names Nice little program!!

ETA: Just noticed the above link is for the updated version! Sweet!! Must try that out... time to finally back up my beloved Koudelka

Try using POPStation GUI v3.00 BETA by ZingaBurga. I used that to convert all my PSX games and it worked every time without fail.
