[RELEASE] FastExitGame v2.4

Post by TheDarknessArrives » Mon Jul 18, 2011 4:50 pm

Image

FastExitGame 2.4 is a cool PSP homebrew application that will let you exit your
PSP Gameplay quick and with ease. Not only that it but it also helps you shutdown
your PSP, Restart your PSP and put your PSP into sleep mode.

Developer Statement

Quickly return to the XMB by pressing the key set. (Is much faster than pressing the HOME button to return.)
As a bonus shutdown, restart, you can also sleep.

Also supports the ISO PSPGo a soft-reset (read that as well but the save data. Thanks SnyFbSx)

I installed the v.2.3 of that plugin cause this ones link is dead. When I want to use that plugin with a game a paused before it doesnt work other than that it works both on XMB menu, games I started from memory disk and internal storage.

Is it possible to add fast resume function to this plugin for PSP-go ? Very often I need to quit the game to resume it it would be great to use a shortcut for that.

And any idea how much memory does this pause function consume, I read about a hidden/unused memory afaik its named flash3 is it possible to use this memory as a second pause slot ?

If you need more slots use pspstates --> 10 slots per game

Currently the only graphical interface that works on the go is custom home 1.3.5 mod. Also, if you exit from custom home while holding L the "Pause" feature of the normal home menu will be triggered.

By the way, for some reason when using a dualshock 3, pressing any of the R triggers will make the pspgo think you want to make a savestate and it will attempt to do it. I need more testing on that matter.

Thanks a lot for pspstates I read about it a few times but never thought that it will work as good as the pause function. But its turning off/on device for a second both while saving and loading so that all bluetooth devices are disconnecting is it happening to you too ?

In that thread viewtopic.php?f=28&t=39138 I read that you updated custom home to fix that DS3 bluetooth problem, Im a little confused is that custom home plugin fixing pspstates's problem ?

That is normal behavior, you have to wait a little and press the HOME button in the DS3 and it will be paired again. With the normal PAUSE function you don't notice because it exits the game, but this is how pspstates has always worked (it needs to suspend the psp to do its magic).

The DS3 problem was that the load/save shortcuts that are only supposed to work in the home screen work also OUTSIDE the home screen when bluetooth is enabled, so pressing R+UP while playing saved an state to the UP slot. This happened regardless of pressing R+UP in the PSP or in the DS3 and the problem is withing the pspstates plugin itself. I updated customhome so it patches the pspstates plugin and disables all the shortcuts.

By the way, this problem doesn't happen with pspstates menu pict mod, the shortcuts work normally since pspstates menu pict applies its own patches to pspstates (I based the modification to custom home on its source). I already emailed leecherman so he can update it to properly support the PSPGo (since it will only work properly for games run from the memory stick, and won't work at all if no memory stick is inserted).

ps: the connect usb in custom home won't work with the bluetooth enabled (regardless of the wifi switch positition). This is because of Sony and how they programmed the bluetooth and usb to work, not because of custom home.
