mp3player_lite slows down music on 6.60

Post by Llama The Gamer » Sat May 09, 2015 12:16 pm

So back when I had my other psp (got a new one recently) I ended up having 6.39 PRO B9 and installed an earlier version of mp3player_lite and it worked perfectly. Now, in 6.60 PRO C2 (fix 3), whenever I start the plugin it plays the music, but is slowed down and also sounds lower pitched for some reason. I have tried to run it in games but I get the same results. I've also tried changing the cpu speed from its menu, which didn't fixed the slowness problem and the songs are still played at a significantly lower pitch, as if someone had pressed the slowmo button. I disabled all other plugins to run this and bought the same model psp (2001 starwars edition). I'm also sure it's installed correctly (.prx and .ini files).
This is the same 6.60 plugin from the 6.60 plugins pack from this site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

--------------------------EDIT---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I go to play a song from the mem stick menu the speed and pitch is fixed---until I leave the menu, then it reverts.
What I did:
1. Play a song from mp3player menu
2. Play a song the normal way.
3. mp3player plays the song how it should sound like

What about MS speed, is it set to "always" from recovery menu ?

What about the mp3 compression, is it common 128 kbs or anything higher like 240 or 320 kbs ? Try 128 if your files are high.

Just converted a song to 128 kbs. The song sped up. I'm about to try 240 kbs.

Thanks. I converted the songs to 192 Kbps 44100 Hz and they work perfectly now. :D
