"Invisible" plugins - corrupted save file

Post by Bukorl » Fri Dec 12, 2014 3:48 pm

In the beginning I want to apologise if it's not a proper place for such kind of topic but I'm new. However, I managed to browse other similar topics and find no answer to my problems. So, please help me if you know the possible solution. I will start from giving my PSP's specification, the features it has and the things I've already done (to no avail, of course):
- soft: 6.20 PRO-B8 (i haven't found anybody on the Internet with that soft actually),
- memory card is OK (I've got another SD Card and I've put corrupted data on it and the problem was the same so it's not card's fault),
- it's a PSP Slim (not GO or anything like that) and I've never used any 'cheats' while playing games on it.
Okay, now, the problem is that I was playing Monster Hunter Portable 3rd when it suddenly failed to save after a completed quest. I wasn't even able to save in character's house. After I quit, I noticed that the savedata is "corrupted" and I was no longer able to load the game. Along with it, several other games also got "corrupted" since then.
I've read a lot and tried a lot of things to recover especially my MHP3rd savedata but to no avail. I downloaded FreeCheat to recover the savedata, but I couldn't see any plugins in my recovery menu (and in my PSP it's called "PRO Recovery Menu" - it's black'n'red). I think that if I could see that plugins and if I activated them ("enable"), I would be able to proceed with the recovery of the "corrupted" file.
I tried FreeCheat 1.0.12.18 but I noticed it isn't compatible with softs higher then 5.50 or something like that so I tried this one: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/thread ... -5-xx-6-xx, but it also failed to show the plugins. I think I've done everything correctly (4 txts in "seplugins" in my PSP's root: GAME.TXT, VSH.TXT, POPS.TXT and GAME150.TXT and there's "ms0:/FreeCheat/fc_3xx.prx 1" - without quotations - in each file).
I tried this method: http://forums.minegarde.com/topic/206-m ... ted-saves/, as it was the most reasonable for me.
QUESTION: Why can't I see those plugins, even with all of that entered? Is there any other way of recovering my MHP3rd savedata which is corrupted?
N.B. I tried changing the name of my mhp3rd's savefile to a name of some other, downloaded mhp3rd savefile and that solved the problem of the "corrupted data" icon, it became normal icon again but it still can't be loaded.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Data corruption is a common issue with fake memory cards, check for magicgate compatibility if you are using a Sony or sandisk pro duo, if you use a microsd +adapter magicgate support will be unknown.
I don't think its possible to recover corrupted saves in this case. Buy original pro duo, I semibricked my old PSP while trying to upgrade firmware running it from a fake card.
