what cfw version you have? also did you tried to disable all the plugins in vsh?
I have 6.20 pro-c2 I disabled all plugins but nothing changed its still freezing.

Sorry for late reply, I see, don't know what's the problem with your current cfw, so better update to me cfw version if you want.

same here.
it doesnt work well on PSP Phat with Pro C-2.
it freezes if i try to enter recovery menu. (with or without any other plugins loaded)

Works well on my 2001 PSP w/ 6.60 ME-2.2. Maybe a memory issue with 1000s?

Unfortunately this doesn't work with ME-2.3. I think it might have to do with the new "VSH Menu BG Color Change" option in the Recovery Menu. Just an eduguess though.
