which music plugin would you recommend?

Post by cl0n30fth3y3ar »

Dear Community,

Sorry to be so formal but I was wondering which music plugin would be great to use for my PSP
I have a 6.60 Pro B-10 silver PSP (so 3000) with 4 sticks
I have all of my music (around 3600 or so) on my 32gb ProDuo adapter and I want to listen to all of them while playing games and stuff like that.
The music is organized like so:
1 folder and 30 songs in the main section
inside the folder is 52 subfolders (sort of) organized by artist in an encyclopedia fashion like so:

0-9 A B C-C4 D-D6 E F G/G2 H I/I2 J-J3 K L-L3 M-M5 N O P Q R S T/T2 U V Various Artists (or V. A. 1-7) W X and Y (12GB remaining; multiple characters folders are $# are 99*# excluding the last number so ex: c-c4 is between 297 and 396)
So I ask is there a music plugin that can support that many songs?
Thanks

You have 3 options:

1: Custom Firmware Extender v3.1 [3.90 to 6.XX support]

13: MP3PlayerPlugin v3.3 Fix [6.00 to 6.60 support]

14: Music PRX [3.90 to 6.XX support]

You can find them on this thread: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=7407

I use Custom Firmware Extender v3.1 to play my music in game.

I've used 13: MP3PlayerPlugin v3.3 Fix [6.00 to 6.60 support] before, it works pretty good. (Not every game is compatible with it though, I think that goes for every MP3 plugin for the PSP)

I use Custom Firmware Extender v3.1 to play my music in game.
I tried Music-PRX but as far as I've checked the readme, it only supports up to 300 songs.
But I'll try the other two and hope for the best.

I tested mp3player 3.3 plugin with Bookr 8.1 in pro-cfw c and 6.39 lme 9.8; mp3player plugin works with the unsigned eboot but does not works with the signed one.
mp3player plugin requires an unsigned homebrew to work.
I suspect this is the case for any signed homebrew. ;)
