Do you have PSPGo?
if yes then it will work with you without problem ( if else you will use ms0:/ instead of ef0:/ )
and i think that the location of system menu is not correct.
it must be like that in order to get it to work:
ef0:/seplugins/system_menu/system_menu.prx 1

So download this one and try it:
Extract the system_menu folder to your seplugins.
then add this line first in the vsh.txt
ef0:/seplugins/system_menu/system_menu.prx 1
then press on RESET VSH that in VSH menu

If he just uses the installer that Plum provides with the latest versions it will install the plugin exactly where it needs to go.

He's just taking the .prx and putting it into his Seplugins folder which is incorrect.

It has to be something that you caused, i.e. incompatible plugin, installed incorrectly etc. It works perfectly fine for me and I have quite a few plugins enabled with it.

I'll post my list in a few minutes, I'm in the middle of a battle on FFT:WotL 1.3.1.0 right now.

Code: Select all

VSH plugins
ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/system_menu/system_menu.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/category_lite.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/pprefs.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/bright3.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/xmbih.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/hud.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/PowerFlashLight+.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/noumd.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/umd_dump.prx 0
ms0:/seplugins/RemoteJoyLite.prx 0
ms0:/seplugins/mp3play_lite.prx 0
ms0:/seplugins/xmbcontrol/xmbctrl.prx 0

Game plugins
ms0:/seplugins/resource_block.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/hud.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/FFTSaveHook.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/bright3.prx 1
ms0:/livepatch/livepatch.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/dayviewer_game.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/TempAR/tempar.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/satellite_game.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/noumd.prx 1
ms0:/seplugins/atpro.prx 0
ms0:/seplugins/mhp3rd_loader/mhp3patch.prx 0
ms0:/seplugins/quick_boot.prx 0
ms0:/seplugins/umd_dump.prx 0
ms0:/seplugins/mp3play_lite.prx 0
ms0:/seplugins/RemoteJoyLite.prx 0
ms0:/seplugins/CWCHEAT/cwcheatpops.prx 0
ms0:/seplugins/nploader.prx 0
With those plugins enabled on 6.20PRO-Cf3 SystemMenu v10 works perfectly fine after being installed via the installer. (Or by putting the prx in the correct folder and adding the correct line in the VSH.txt file)

Do you have any other plugins that use select to bring up a menu of any kind? (i.e. PSP HUD)

Have you tried turning off all the plugins other than system menu? If it works then you can try and turn on the plugins one at a time to see which one is the problem
my stuff
  • PSP 3000 White (03g) - Dual Boot (6.60 Pro-C2 and LME 1.8)
  • PSP 2000 Simpsons Ed. - 6.60 ME 1.8
  • PS Vita Cosmic Red - FW3.01
  • Sony Vaio E-Series Laptop White
  • Samsung Galaxy S4 International (Rooted)

I did, not working... Maybe SystemMenu Plugin (v11.0) will work.
