Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if it is somehow possible to convert this official Little Big Planet theme here, which was made for 6.60, to work on 6.20?


I switched from a PSP 1000 to a 3000 and installed 6.20 LME 2.2 with the permanent patch on it, however, I cannot use this theme on 6.20 sadly, which is why I'm asking.
Also, now since the PSN access on the PSP is gone, the only download for it I could find (that actually works) is this one: http://psptwist.com/download/little-big ... -1697.html

I hope it is somehow possible, I used it with many different wallpapers over the years, I'm kinda attached to it, lol.

I tried CTFtool GUI already, found a version that was patched for 6.60, however it always tells me that this isn't a ptf. =/

I guess the version.txt only really works with games, and not themes. =/
Since I got no reply until now I'll just assume that a conversion is impossible, I doubt the assets could even be extracted and put together as a new PTF theme.
If anyone has a suggestion still or could tell me how to do it, I'm all ears.

It took me less than five minutes to figure this theme out, Also ptf themes do not depend on firmware.

The problem was that the theme was still encrypted from PSN so all I had to do was run it through this tool here.

And this just goes to shows how little I know about this stuff! ^^;
I didn't know a tool would exist that could make it work this quickly, I thought I would have to rebuild a theme from scratch. =S
Thank you again, this will make my PSP experience a lot easier in the future.

When you said it was an official theme that didn't work I just assumed someone downloaded it from PSN then uploaded it straight from their memory stick, Doing that means the theme is still locked to the original account.

Next time try opening a problem theme in a hex editor and see if at the very top it says "EDAT", If yes then it is encrypted and just needs to be run through that program.

I have been with the psp scene since the beginning (as a lurker mostly anyway); but I didn't think the psn themes could be decrypted. Now I can keep one of my psp's at 6.20 without regretting it.

Official PTF themes can actually be decrypted.

I was saying thanks because I have a PTF theme from my JP psn account & I thought that I would have to stay at 6.61 to keep it activated. I don't have a problem staying at that I just found it interesting.
(I am kind of embarrassed actually because I should have known that already.)
Also even though I re downgraded I think I'll update again. (I can be so Indecisive sometimes...)
