Help converting a 5.50 GEN theme to 6.60 PRO

Hi, I really don't know anything about making PSP themes, and am having trouble finding any decent tutorials on the subject, but I want to convert a 5.50 CTF theme to work on a 6.60 PRO-C2 (update 3) PSP.

The theme I want to convert is Simplicity: http://downloads.exophase.com/684/simpl ... r-550-gen/

I would be grateful if someone could point me in the direction of the tools I'll need, and a guide on how to do the conversion. I'd be even more grateful if someone that knows what they're doing took a few minutes and did the conversion for me, but am willing to do the work myself if necessary...and I can figure out how...

I can't make heads or tails out of the tutorial....I literally can't figure a single thing about the process out from it. Especially given that it mentions something about descrambling floats and I don't have any menu item even close to that...

As for the video, it's so fast I can't see what's being done clear enough to even have a hope of copying the process, though what I can make out looks like I should be able to do it...It's just too fast to follow, I've been trying for the past 2 hours and can't even get to the point they're at at the 3 minute mark....

When you first run CTFtool make sure to run as admin, It will add the the options you need to the context menu(right click)

I have the CTFtool menu on right-click, just no descramble float point as shown in the tutorial...what little I can figure out of it....

Hm, I've converted the theme to 660, but the PSP freezes after the cold boot and I have no idea what causes this, sorry.

The main thing I like about Simplicity is the way the menu is displayed (both the main menu, and the sub-menu lists) I use a custom wallpaper with it (has some markings along the bottom the main menu covers up, and the color matches perfectly, all the similar themes I've found have the main menu see-through...) I know a lot of custom menu displays get re-used for other themes, anyone know any working 6.60 themes with the same menu display?

Or possibly someone knows how to rip just the way the menu displays out of Simplicity and how to pop that into a basic theme? If I knew what files were used for the menu display, I could probably pop them in a different theme to get it working myself.

I've replaced the extra icon with the grey bar, but of course this doesn't look that good. I don't know if this is sufficient for you, but otherwise either change all the icons so you can add ''Extras'' to the grey bar or complety remove the extra icon by choosing
Fake region --> Debug Type I in the recovery menu.
