it says converting 6.39 to 6.60, does that method also help with converting 6.60 to a lower firmware like 6.20?

I believe so the CTFtool has a built in converter just convert the files that are named in that post to the firmware version of your choice. Let me know if this helped at all.

Edit: in the post I linked it stated:
"Note - If you want to convert a theme other than of 6.39, convert it to 6.39 first, and follow the above steps!"
Which means the CTFtool can convert to different versions (this does not mean you have to make the theme 6.39 first.)

I guess it's not possible until the CTFtool GUI has 6.60 implemented. If this theme was in 6.39 or below it would be no problem at the moment. So you can convert 6.39 to 6.60, 6.60 can't be converted to a lesser FW, and anything 6.39 and below can be converted pretty freely to the FW desired with 6.60 included.

Which will never happen as PatPat lost all the sources to CTFtool, and I think he said he's not going to work on it anymore because of that reason.

On-topic: I'm not sure if other people have experienced this but when I exit USB mode the PSP freezes and shuts down.

Patpat's laptop & psp got stolen IIRC that's why he said he won't be able to update the CTFTool as for the freeze it won't freeze on me once i exit back BUT it will freeze if i go to photo, music, video then select memory stick.

Anyway i already posted about the freeze issue on mugi's thread just waiting for his reply

oh yeah to avoid freezes after exiting USB Connect do a Reset VSH
