Removing wave from .ctf?

Post by pokefloote » Mon Mar 04, 2013 9:30 pm

Here's the thing... I want to use this theme with a certain wallpaper, but the wave running through the middle doesn't look good at all. Is there anyway I can remove the wave completely without changing theme? It's a 6.60 theme.

You have to edit the theme.

1: Extract the CTF theme. (Using CTFtool GUI)
2: Find system_plugin_bg.prx in vsh/resource.
3: Decompile system_plugin_bg.prx using RCOmage. (Download RCOmage v1.1.1)
4: Edit using Notepad++ (Download free here)
5: Find model="model:mdl_bg"
6: Change "model:mdl_bg" to "nothing".
7: Recompile using RCOmage again.
8: Put the theme back together with CTFTool GUI. (Remember to select for 6.60)

http://www.mediafire.com/?kt6licrj3rtb1yi

That's the original (from the 6.60 thread in this forum)
It won't let me attach the one I have edited (file size too large by .18 MB lol)

There are 3 instances of model="model:mdl_bg" (i was only editing the first one at first) but then I tried the one next to the wave part and same thing...

I see the problem, he animated the wave. First change all the model="model:mdl_bg" you found.

And change,

onLoad="anim:anim_wave01_BG01" to onLoad="nothing"

This disables the wave animation.

Still didn't work... Did it work on your end? (if you can try it, I mean.)
Sorry for all the trouble, man. I appreciate the help.

Here you go. I haven't tested it, cause I'm on 6.39 ME.

.-. Still the ugly yellow waves.

Does it matter if I'm using a go? I think I remember cxmb being picky with go's and needing a certain version, I have the correct version though as all the themes load correctly.

Here is my second attempt.

Download Now

If it works, I recommend opening the theme and seeing what line I changed.
