Swapping between ME and PRO, each with different themes

Post by stoneskull » Fri Nov 02, 2012 3:16 pm

I have 6.60 ME and swap to PRO using FastRecovery..

Is it possible to have different themes on each CFW?
And if so, what is the best way to do it?

Thank you.

Haven't tried myself, but I think you can use this plugin if I understand the plugin correctly.

For example:

in vshPRO.txt use CXMB and a CTF theme, and in vshME.txt use Zero VSH patcher (don't enter CXMB) and use an extracted CTF theme (raw RCOs, PRXs etc).

Again, I haven't tried this myself, but in theory it should work. The Automatic load plugin looks a bit fiddly, but give it a shot if you really want it.

edit: OMG my grammer was sooo bad!! fixed though!

Great idea man. ;)

I will test to see if it works and i'll edit this post.

Edit:

It works :D

Tested on 6.39 ME-9.8 with broken screen, using remotejoy..... Also I used Automatic Load txt v.04

really? how did you do it?

how about those in folders?

did you copy all the .prx & .rco to the VSH folder?

thank you very much for the tip on automatictxt v0.5
i wasn't thinking outside the cxmbox

so far i have managed to at least have an official theme on ME
and a CXMB theme on PRO
at least that was basically what i wanted
each one on different themes
it takes a little while longer to load into PRO but it's worth it

really the very basic reason was so i could easily know which cfw i am on without thinking about it
and so, even without changing anything, i like this plugin
as it puts a little sign in the bottom right corner of the screen saying which cfw you are on!

when i get two custom themes working (using ZeroVSH)
i'll edit my first post with easy instructions

Turn off all your plugins except , automatictxt v0.4.

And have it so when vshME is on, cxmb is enabled, and when vshPRO/vshPROHEN (Not sure which so i used both) is on it will run ZeroVSH Patcher v0.2

and in zerovsh.ini config disable SlidePlugin if its enabled.

SlidePlugin = Disabled

Extract the 6.60 theme you want to use and put the PRX/RCO into the PSP/VSH folder.

it's confusing :(

do the modules and resources stay in their folders
or do you copy all the files within them all to the psp/vsh folder?

is there a better program to use to extract beside "ctf tool gui"?

i see that i was trying to do it the opposite way before
that's something..

so i have a cxmb theme on ME
and then whatever theme is on there,
i get the background and icons of that on PRO
ZeroVSH doesn't seem to be doing anything with the files in PSP/VSH
